About Me
Hi, I'm Maria de la Rosa and I am a Software Development Engineer based in Austin, TX. I'm an enthusiastic and motivated latina woman returning to the tech industry after a brief hiatus while my family grew. During this time I have still maintained my interest in Software Development as an ongoing hobby, authoring and designing static websites for close relatives and extended family, and I have recently completed a Python certification course. I have 7+ years of experience working professionally as a DevOps engineer and I am actively looking for entry-level positions. I am an active member of the Latina Geeks group and in order to hone my skills I manage, and sometimes host, a study group for women who like me are interested in honing our CS Fundamentals and Algorithms skills in order to succeed. Outside of coding I like to listen podcasts, I am a huge soccer fan so I enjoy watching the professional games and taking long walks to enjoy nature.
